PRESENTATION

The area of the Ljubljana Police Directorate lies in the central part of the country and comprises 3,807 square kilometres, which is 18.8% of the entire Slovenian territory. The Police Directorate includes 21 police stations. Its area is varied and also includes protecting 75 km of border with Croatia. The Ljubljana Police Directorate employs 1,380 workers, a good sixth of all police employees, from which 1191 are policeman and 189 are civilians.

The top of the hierarchical structure of the Police Directorate is its Director, expert support is given by the Director's office, while the Uniformed police office performs a monitoring function. The Directorate also includes Criminal investigation police, an Operation and communication centre (telephone number 113) and Logistics division.

To perform tasks in the area, there are 17 police stations and 5 police divisions. Within certain police stations, there are also 9 police offices.
