Safety on the ski slopes
| Instructions
for skiers and authorizations given to police officers on ski slopes |
Skiers and other persons on the ski slope have to observe
the international FIS rules, the instructions on safety precautions on ski
slopes as well as follow the instructions and warnings given by the supervisors.
They have to keep in mind the principles of mutual assistance, respect and
consideration. They have to use the ski
slopes in a way so as not to endanger or injure themselves, other persons or
inflict damage to ski slope equipment.

To provide for greater safety on the ski run it is advisable that you:
- Adjust your speed and method of skiing to your actual
skill, as well as terrain and weather conditions and the number of other
skiers on the run.
- Choose your direction of skiing so as not to endanger
other skiers. Give right of way to the skier in front
of you.
- Pass other skiers from above or below, left or right,
yet always providing for adequate safety distance, which enables to the skier
you are passing enough room to ski freely.
- If you are younger than 14 years, wear a protective helmet.
- When
crossing, entering the ski run, stopping or attempting to return to the slope
always make sure whether you can do this without exposing yourself or other
skiers to danger.
- If you want to climb up, stop or remain
where you are stay to the edge of the ski run when doing this.
- Ski at an adequate safety distance from the snow groomer.

- If you fall leave the position place as soon as possible
if you are not in need of aid at the ski slope, and move to the edge of the
ski slope.
- Deposit the ski or any other equipment whenever you are
not using it at the location which is determined by the manager.
- Ski with appropriate ski equipment which should also be
fully functional.
- Offer assistance if an accident occurs at the ski slope.

- Give your personal information to the supervisor if you
have witnessed or participated in the accident or if you yourself have violated
the provisions of the Safety at the Ski Slopes Act.
