On 7 November, Deputy Director General of the Police Tatjana Bobnar met with Janine van Zoest, a young Dutch humanitarian worker, who organised the collection of toys, school materials, clothes and footwear for the Roma of Dolenjska as part of the Skupa-j project.

Janine visited Slovenia a while ago, when she was doing research for her master's thesis on citizen and human rights of Roma communities in south-eastern Slovenia as part of her studies of cultural anthropology. Wishing to add her own piece to the mosaic of Roma community integration, she decided to collect funds for the Roma of Dolenjska through Global Aid Network, a humanitarian organisation she belongs to. A couple of months ago, she also organised the collection of toys, school materials, clothes and footwear, which she personally delivered to the Roma of Dobruška vas.
