On Saturday 27 September 2008, as part of the 15th annual police motorcycle trials, police motorcyclists from Slovenia and abroad set off on their motorcycles on a promotional tour from Ljubljana (Tacen) via Postojna to Koper, Portorož and Lucija and back to Ljubljana.
At 9.00 a.m. the convoy and escort consisting of 30 motorcycles, a police rescue vehicle and vehicles of the Croatian, Austrian and Slovenian police formed at the Traffic Police Station in Ljubljana.

The route followed the old road to Koper, where the guests had a chance to inspect the new premises of the Koper Traffic Police Station and the Police Dog Handlers Station.

After a group photograph and reception by the commander, the convoy made its way to the Marine Police Station in Koper, where guests were given a brief ride aboard police launch P 111.

The promotional tour ended at the go-kart circuit in Lucija, where the first national police motorcycle skills championship was held in 1995.

Police motorcyclists from Ljubljana Traffic Police Station, who took first place in the individual and team competitions in the Honda and BMW categories, treated guests to a victory cake.
