Slovenian police officers once again join Croatia's Safe Tourist Destination project
Slovenians enjoying their summer holidays in Croatia may once again encounter Slovenian police officers who are currently deployed in Pula, Novalja and Vodice, and on the island of Krk. As in previous years, Slovenian officers are supporting their Croatian colleagues in helping to keep visitors safe while also assisting tourists from Slovenia. Their presence is particularly important given that Croatia recorded almost 1.7 million visits by Slovenian citizens in 2025.

Police Day: with respect for the past and responsibility for the people
Slovenian police celebrated the annual Police Day on 27 June 2026. Representatives of the Ministry of the Interior and Public Administration, the Police and veterans’ organisations laid wreaths at the Tacen Memorial Park and at Nove Žale in Ljubljana, to honour the memory of the police officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice – their lives – for security, independence and the country.
