Criminal investigation in the Patria case takes place independently and professional under the direction of the Supreme State Prosecutor Office, in cooperation with the Finnish colleagues and with non-diminished intensity, emphasised Goršek in responding to the allegations of Zvnoko Črnač, the chairman of the commission for the control of intelligence and security services.

"The investigation is not influenced by any political insinuations, equally, the investigation of the Patria case has not erred in any dead-end direction ", he said and added: "This is a criminal investigation that is being conducted according to all rules and principles of the profession. Cooperation with the Supreme State Prosecutor Office, which directs and is in charge of the investigation, is very good. There are no political pressures; not on me, not on those who lead the criminal investigations. Criminal investigators are completely independent and sovereign, and their only measure is that they work on the basis of profession."
