On 4 November 2021, Dr Aleksander Pur from the IT and Telecommunications Office participated on behalf of the Slovenian Police in the eu-Lisa Industry Roundtable, where participants exchanged views on the development of information technologies that also have an impact on justice and home affairs, with a particular focus on large-scale IT systems.

He highlighted that the Slovenian Police are well aware of the importance of using artificial intelligence to ensure public safety. In police work, large amounts of data need to be analysed and finding the right information at a critical moment is essential as it can save lives, which is why artificial intelligence is critical in the automated analysis of large amounts of data.
