The Director General of the Police proudly said that top athletes were part of the police ranks: 'I am pleased that the Police have been able to support your efforts and provide you with better conditions for training and competing. I believe that by doing so, we have done something good for Slovenian sport. And rightly so, because you have also done a great deal for us. The achievements of top athletes bring us joy and are a source of pride for the country."

The Minister of the Interior congratulated everyone, individually and collectively, and added that we at the Ministry, the Police and the Inspectorate are the most loyal supporters and cheerleaders of top sportsmen and women. He wished the athletes a rewarding sporting journey ahead – including at the next Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028.

On behalf of the top athletes employed by the Police, the Olympic vice-champion in the brand new Olympic sailing discipline – formula kite, Toni Vodišek, expressed his gratitude. The silver medalist said: "Your support means a lot to me, because I know that without the assistance of the Police and the Ministry of the Interior, I would not have been able to achieve top results. When I look at my medal, I realise that there is a lot of effort behind it - mine and my team members'. This effort is not only ours, but also yours. Without your help and support, the road to top results would have been much harder."
