Slovenian criminal police take part in the international operation against child sexual exploitation Mozaik 2025

At a press conference held on 18 November 2025, the Slovenian police presented a coordinated international criminal operation investigating online child sexual abuse, known as Mozaik 2025, which took place within the framework of the European Multidisciplinary Platform Against Criminal Threats (EMPACT). This is the third international operation under the name Mozaik, which represents a continuation of Slovenia's cooperation with the Western Balkan region and other partner countries.

Solemn oath of the ninth generation of the Police College

On 22 October 2025, 158 students who completed their education at the Police College took their oath before Police Director General Damjan Petrič. General Police Division

The General Policing Division is responsible for the areas of public order and the safeguarding of lives, personal safety and the property of people.

Traffic Police Division

The two basic fields of work of this Division comprise road traffic safety and the regulation of traffic. It monitors and analyses safety conditions on Slovenian roads, directs and, when necessary, coordinates work of the traffic control units, road accident investigations, prevention and detection of criminal offences and violations endangering the safety of road traffic, performs supervision and provides expert assistance to units.

Border Police Division

The Division performs tasks in the field of State border security, illegal migrations and foreigners. It plans, organises and monitors the work of the units which are conducting border checks and border surveillance, participates in investigations of criminal offences and violations on the State border and border incidents, coordinates activities for prevention the illegal migrations and prepares new legislation on foreigners. In the second instance, it decides on matters related to crossing of the State border, and coordinates the work with the Centre for Foreigners.

Uniformed Police Directorate

  The Uniformed Police Directorate takes care of coordinated, professional, effective and lawful work of the uniformed police at the state level.
