Several countries, including Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina have been removed from the red list with the newly amended Ordinance determining the conditions of entry into the Republic of Slovenia to contain and control the COVID-19 infectious disease, applicable as of 12 June 2021.

In addition, border crossing on international flights within the EU and the Schengen area is no longer limited to the three international air traffic checkpoints (Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport and Portorož Airport).
