We are publishing a clarification regarding entry to Slovenia when transiting Slovenian territory to another country (updated on 19 February, 2022).

Important!

As of 19 February 2022, restrictions due to Covid-19 no longer apply when entering Slovenia. This means that the RVT (recovered/vaccinated/tested) condition no longer has to be met at the border and travellers will no longer be ordered to quarantine at home.

This also applies to transit through Slovenia. The only restriction on transit is that travellers must have proof that they will be able to leave the territory of the Republic of Slovenia and enter a neighbouring country. We therefore recommend that before travelling you check the entry conditions and border measures in the countries you are travelling through or to.

For most recent information on measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 infections, please go to the government web site Coronavirus disease COVID-19 .

Prior transit permits are not issued.

Prior permits to enter and transit through Slovenia are not issued. The fulfilment of conditions for crossing the border (entry to and transit through Slovenia) is checked at the border crossing point during border control on the day of crossing the border.
