The latest amendments to border entry rules will begin to take effect on Thursday, 15 July 2021. Colour-coded lists of countries will no longer be applicable. All travellers entering Slovenia will have to comply with the same requirement: they must be vaccinated or they have recovered from COVID-19 or they must provide a negative test.

Important notice

As of 16 August 2021, the same rule will apply to travellers transiting Slovenia on their way to another country and to all persons in international freight and passenger transport. The provision allowing entry into Slovenia without a home quarantine order and without compliance with the vaccinated-tested-recovered rule has been extended for these two exceptions up to and including 15 August 2021. More information: Vaccinated-tested-recovered rule not required for transit and international transport until 15 August 2021

The EU digital COVID certificate and digital certificates of third countries will be also accepted as proofs.

Also, there will be only two quarantine-free and no-test-required exceptions for entry into Slovenia: the exceptions apply to owners of property on both sides of the border, and children aged under 15 travelling with their parents or custodians.
