Most speeding still takes place in built-up areas, where 523 violations were recorded on Wednesday. On roads outside built-up areas, there were 134 cases of speeding and 146 on motorways and expressways. This enforcement campaign, which was primarily intended to serve as a preventive measure and to reduce driving speeds on our roads, was conducted simultaneously in nearly all European Union member states.
