The content of this project was maintenance and ensuring airworthiness of EC 135 helicopter, that is exclusively dedicated for Schengen border control and surveillance. In order to ensure its airworthiness, regular maintenance must be performed. This includes inspections every 100 hours flight time and annual inspections, regardless of flight time. For that purpose, it was necessary to obtain required spare parts, technical publications and necessary logistics support. This was all provided by company Eurocopter Deutschland.
The purpose of the project was to ensure all required spare parts, technical publications and logistics support, as needed to perform maintenance of EC 135 helicopter in accordance with prescribed maintenance program for mentioned helicopter. The purpose of the project was achieved, by ensuring high operational availability and thus enabled achieving the goal of effective control of Schengen border.
Costs of the project amount to 258.687,23 EUR. EU co-funded the project from External Borders Fund in the amount of 194.015,42 EUR, which is 75%.
