Annual programme 2010
For the purpose of enhancing security and ensuring better control over visa issuing in Schengen area, EU decided to renew and upgrade current visa system. On the EU level new central visa information system vas developed called VIS, where fingerprints of the persons to whom the visas were issued, would be collected centrally.
Contractural partner made a software for integration on fingerprint scanners used by Police. Application software for capturing fingerprints and integration into VIS system was already developed by Ministry of foreign affairs of RS.
Integration software consisted of preparation of the module, which ensures usage of fingerprint scanner SUPREMA Realscan-10, currently used by the Police, for capturing fingerprints in the same manner as enabled by CrossMatch L Scan Guardian fingerprint scanner.
Costs of the project amount to 13.814,22 EUR. EU co-funded the project from External Borders Fund in the amount of 10.360,66 EUR, which is 75%.
