External Borders Fund
Annual programme 2011
18 civilian police patrol vehicles for state border control, three intervention vans for transport of foreigners and 10 all-terrain vehicles were purchased.
18 civilian police patrol vehicles were delivered to the police units for state border control as a replacement for the older vehicles. Intervention vans enable safe transport of violent foreigners, while all-terrain vehicles enable police officers to perform border surveillance also in the remote areas and in difficult weather conditions. Thus a high level of police units for state border control mobility, required by Schengen standards, was maintained.
Costs of the project amount to 989.164,25 EUR EU co-funded the project from External Borders Fund in the amount of 741.873,18 EUR, which is 75%.
