The project scope was purchase and implementation of IT equipment used for structural information exchange channels. It enabled reduction of time required to update all relevant authorities on relevant issues, better proportion of staff using large scale IT systems, consultation and exchange of information searches in real-time on border crossings.
Purchased equipment (routers and management control system) were implemented by engineers - employees of the Ministry. They configured the equipment, ensured safety certificates, installed and activated it at final destinations.
Software for network management and monitoring and operation systems of LAN switches were upgraded and updated. All software licences were prolonged and upgraded. Communication equipment now supports protocol IPv6. Ipsec, PKI infrastructure and CA security mechanisms were introduced. Integrated network enables transfer of voice communication. The project goals were achieved.
Costs of the project amount to 91.062,67 EUR. EU co-funded the project from External Borders Fund in the amount of 68.297,00 EUR, which is 75%.
