Annual programme: 2009
Purpose and scope of the project: In order to implement the Convention implementing the Schengen Agreement, the country Slovenia with the aim of preventing illegal border crossings of the external border, ensuring the safety of police border guards and protection of equipment may in the areas of border crossings install automatic photographic and video recording devices to record or photograph events in front of and behind border crossings. The existing equipment does not fulfil all requirements prescribed for border surveillance in accordance with the Schengen acquis.
