Based on Schengen Evaluation recommendation the system of single sign-on which uses digital certificates and smart cards was introduced. Project consists of purchase of additional equipment for upgrade of single sign-on system:

• 500 smart card readers PCMCIA
• 500 smart card readers OMNIKEY
• 2000 licences for the Entrust Intelligence Security Provider software
• 2000 licences for the Entrust Intelligence Security Provider maintenance.

Smart card readers are located at Border Crossing points. Licences for digital certificates were used for generating digital certificates for police officers which are signing into the Information telecomunication system of the Police (ITSP).

Project was succesfully implemented.

Project value is 154.971,24 ?. European Commission co-financed the project up to 75% which amounts to 116.228,43 ?.
