Project content:
Implementation of digital radio system in border areas is very important because modern technology offers secure encrypted radio communications which have to be performed in emergency situations. The establishment of the TETRA infrastructure on external border areas of Republic of Slovenia will enable also future international cooperation between public safety users of neighbouring countries.

 

The results of the project:
As part of the project the following equipment was purchased and activated: 3 dispatch infrastructure servers, 12 dispatch working places and 33 pairs of microwave links. Graphical interfaces with dispatch functions were established, the GPS/AVL vehicle positioning system is introduced and all operative police units in border areas are being equipped with radio terminals.

 

Project value is 487.319,28 ?. European Commission co-financed the project up to 75% which amounts to 365.489,46 ?.
