The Slovenian Police last purchased all-terrain vehicles more than ten years ago. These vehicles are becoming obsolete and are beginning to deteriorate, and are therefore no longer safe for police use. In the last few years the police's need for all-terrain vehicles has become especially in situations involving natural disasters and extreme weather conditions, mountain accidents, missing persons and searches for perpetrators of serious criminal offences in areas that are not accessible to other vehicles. The new all-terrain vehicles that will be used for regular police work are modern, environmentally friendly and more suitable for users as a working environment. They will be used by police officers at police stations, above all for jobs for which other means of transport are not suitable. They will also be used by officers of the Special Police Unit and mounted police.
