In these days, the twelve-day practical training of criminal investigators newly employed in the Police and the Forensic Centre is reachings its conclusion in the Training Centre at Gotenica.
The participants of the training programme were visited yesterday, 16 June 2009, at Gotenica also by Katarina Kresal, Minister of the Interior, and Janko Goršek, Acting Director General of the Police, who together with the representatives of the media watched how the participants of the criminal training programme acquire purely practical knowledge and skills for detecting and investigating crimes.
On that day, the participants dealt with a case of a car explosion under the guidance of criminal police instructors, which requires considerable special knowledge and proficiency.
The Faculty of Sports presented on its web site cooperation with the police during practical work in the criminal training programme carried out this year in Gotenica. The representatives of the faculty in cooperation with Robert PraÄko, instructor of the criminal training programme, photo and video documented the car explosion. The participants of the training programme were also training to drive in extraordinary conditions and make use of a helicopter for criminal investigation purposes and to investigate railway and occupational accidents, armed robbery, suicide, drowning and other cases of suspicious death, property crimes and crimes against the environment, arson or fire, etc.
