The colleagues from Montenegro were acquainted with procedures within the Police mounted unit and other specialised police units. The first two days of their stay in Slovenia were intended for visits to the Uniformed Police Directorate and the Uniformed Police Division at the Ljubljana Police Directorate, the Ljubljana Mounted Police Station, and the Police Dog Handlers Service and Mounted Police in Maribor.
The Montenegro Police representatives were very satisfied with their hosts in Slovenia. They were very interested in the presentations of specific areas of police work and particularly excited at the Mounted Police Unit. The officers of the Mounted Police Unit explained their work and shared experiences with their colleagues, as in Montenegro this type of unit has barely been functioning for a year now.
In the two days to come, the Montenegro delegation is to visit the Department for the Training of Police-Dogs, the Police Academy and the Special Unit, which is currently at the coast for a field exercise.
