The Slovenian Government issued the Ordinance amending the Ordinance determining the conditions of entry into the Republic of Slovenia to contain and control the COVID-19 infectious disease, which will enter into force on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette and remain in force until 5 September 2021.

The five exceptions where quarantine and compliance with the RVT (recovered, vaccinated, tested) condition are not required on entry into Slovenia (international transport, transit, children under the age of 15, persons who own land in the border area and cross-border migrant workers) have been expanded to include:

  • persons crossing the border for the purpose of transporting a child under the age of 15 for the purpose of their education and schooling, if they return to the border within two hours of crossing the border.

The existing exception for children under the age of 15 has been amended accordingly. Entry into Slovenia without the RVT condition or referral to quarantine is thus allowed for:

  • children under the age of 15 who cross the border together with a close family member who has not been put under home quarantine or has not been refused entry to Slovenia, or in an organised group escorted by a teacher or caregiver who has not been ordered to quarantine at home or has not been denied entry to the Republic of Slovenia, or together with a person who transports them for the purpose of their education and schooling, if that person has not been put under home quarantine or refused entry into the Republic of Slovenia.
