While the European Football Championship is in full swing, today was the day that Slovenian fans had been eagerly awaiting. It was not only the players and fans who were preparing for the match between Slovenia and Denmark – Slovenian police officers were also in Germany to make sure the fans were safe and would have fond memories of the match.

Two days before the match between the Slovenian and Danish national teams, Slovenian police spotters conducted a tour of the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Stuttgart and the fan zone assigned to Slovenian organised supporters. They were accompanied by Danish spotters, with whom they exchanged operational information on Slovenian and Danish supporters. By working together in this way, spotter officers from both countries help ensure the safety and comfort of all visitors, which contributes to the successful and safe staging of the football event.

In Stuttgart, four fan zones have been set up for Slovenian and Danish fans, on the major squares Scholossplatz, Marktplatz, Karlsplatz and Schillerplatz. Slovenian police officers were present in the fan zones and at the stadium itself. Spotters and uniformed police officers were responsible for the safety of Slovenian organised supporters (preventing possible incidents with other supporters' groups), as well as providing them with information on how to enter/exit the stadium and what items were permitted into the stadium.
