The 31st edition of the international Tour of Slovenia cycling race concluded successfully on 8 June 2025, thanks in no small part to the dedicated efforts of the Police, who ensured a high level of safety throughout the event. Over the course of the five-day race, riders passed through the jurisdictions of five regional police directorates – Ljubljana, Celje, Maribor, Koper and Novo mesto. Each day, 28 motorcycle officers from all eight traffic police stations across the country were actively involved in ensuring safety and managing traffic along the route.

Safety along the race route has become a growing priority for both organisers and riders. According to the organisers, the event was a success from a safety standpoint. Much of the credit goes to the Police, whose professional work was supported by behind-the-scenes services that, though not always visible, played a crucial role in enabling officers to carry out their duties at the highest level.

This year's race once again drew impressive crowds along the route and was broadcast live on Eurosport and RTV Slovenia's sports channels.

Through their exceptional work, the Police once again strengthened their public image – both among the general public and within the cycling community. This year's race further demonstrated that Slovenian police officers are fully equipped to handle the demanding responsibilities of ensuring safety at top-tier international cycling events, standing shoulder to shoulder with their counterparts in countries with a long-standing cycling tradition.
