When the Slovenian police were faced with a massive influx of migrants to Western Europe through our country, Slovakian police officers came to our assistance in the spirit of European cooperation and protection of the Schengen area. Their help was welcome as it provided some relief to Slovenian police officers as well as an opportunity for an exchange of operational experience.

The cooperation with Slovakian officers was very good and we hope that when they think of their time in Slovenia they will not just recall sad stories of refugees and migrants but also positive impressions about the beauty of our country and kind and hospitable people.
