Slovenian president Borut Pahor has invited Russian president Vladimir Putin to attend the commemoration to mark the 100th anniversary of the Russian Chapel, which will take place on 30 July 2016 below Vršič. All the necessary measures have been put in place by the competent government services to ensure security, given the attendance at such a high level, as well as to minimize inconvenience for the citizens.
Due to the high-profile attendance at the ceremony, the highest-level security measures are being planned by the police, who work closely together with other bodies and services in preparing activities connected to the expected traffic disruptions on Saturday, 30 July.
