At last night's session, the Government relieved Dr Anton Olaj of the post of Director General of the Police and appointed BoĆĄtjan Lindav, who will hold the post until the appointment of the Director General of the Police following a selection procedure, but for a maximum period of six months.
Due to the absence of Dr Olaj, the duties of the Director General of Police were officially handed over to BoĆĄtjan Lindav today, 2 June 2022, by the Deputy Director General of Police, Danijel Ćœibret. He briefed him on the most important tasks ahead and wished him every success in his work.
BoĆĄtjan Lindav has extensive operational and managerial experience, having worked in the Slovenian Police since 1990. During his career, he has been a police officer, community policing officer and criminal investigator, Head of the Criminal Police Division at a Police Directorate, Assistant Director and from 2018 to April 2022 Director of the Criminal Police Directorate of the General Police Directorate.
