A team of Slovenian police officers has once again demonstrated their skill and determination, winning the World Police Sailing Championship, held in Croatia from 31 September to 5 October 2024.
Competing in both technical and navigational races, the participants faced highly unpredictable weather conditions. Despite these challenges, the Slovenian team delivered an outstanding performance, securing top positions in the final three races and earning the title of World Champions for the third consecutive time.
With victories in 2018, 2022, and now 2024, the Slovenian team has earned permanent ownership of the WSPC transition cup, a true testament to their consistent excellence. The team comprised active police (Celje Police officers Domen Medved (Celje Police Directorate), Gorazd Krenker Directorate) and Adrijan Jeseničnik (Nova Gorica Police Directorate), along with former members of the police force. The effort was led by Zoran Kosi (Murska Sobota Police Directorate), with assistance from Aleksander Mravljak (Celje Police Directorate).
Congratulations to the Slovenian police sailing team on this extraordinary achievement!
